Congratulations, Chris Garcia! Chris just received his Blue Belt! He has been training off and on for a while now. However, in the last 4 months he has really kicked it up a notch or two. Chris did his first tournament, the 2012 PAN, and took home a Bronze! He finished his first match with a Triangle Choke. He competed again one month later at the 2012 Spring Open and took the podium once again.
It wasn't just the competition that showed us Chris was ready for a promotion. He has found a new dedication and passion for Jiu Jitsu... And, his technique is on point as a result of the competition training and renewed focus.
Chris's Blue Belt represents what a promotion should be about: recognition for exceptional technical ability, as well as, character.
